Admission to the museum is free for everyone.
For the core exhibition Spaces of Knowledge, you should expect to spend about 90 minutes.
There are bicycle parking spaces in front of the building.
The Forum Wissen carpark is currently under construction.
Please use public parking spaces in the city. Information on parking options in Göttingen can be found here: https://stadtplan.goettingen.de/Goettingen/client/gisclient/index.html
Disabled parking spaces are available on the north side (towards the bus station).
The Forum Wissen is interesting for kids and teenagers of all ages.
For children aged three to eight, the Mini-Mathematikum is interesting. Here, kids can learn about mathematics through play. For teenagers, a tour of the exhibition with the app can be fun. Through the Forum Wissen App, they can access audio tracks and films and explore objects at media stations.
For questions about the Forum Wissen, our information desk team is available to assist you. The information desk is located behind the first glass door on the right-hand side as you go through the main entrance.

On-site, you can also approach our communicators. They are students from various fields of study and can be approached in the exhibition rooms at any time. You can recognize them by their name tags.
Photography and filming without flash for private purposes is permitted in the exhibition rooms. Please make sure that you do not capture other visitors in the picture. Journalists, bloggers and influencers please fill out a filming permit in advance: https://www.uni-goettingen.de/de/630233.html
Eating and drinking are not permitted in the exhibition rooms. However, your can buy snacks and drinks from the friendly staff at Café Liesls X Forum Wissen. You can also enjoy your own snacks and refreshments on the benches next to the lockers.
Accessibility
All areas and floors in the Forum Wissen can be reached without steps via elevators. The elevators have tactile writing and announcements. On the ground floor, there is a restroom for individuals with limited mobility. More information can be found here: Accessibility Information.
Animals are generally not allowed in the Forum Wissen, with the exception of assistance dogs. Please have the relevant identification for the assistance dog ready during your visit.

In the Forum Wissen, seating options are available in many rooms. Additionally, we provide mobile museum stools. You can take these stools into the exhibition rooms from the information desk or the first floor.
Guided Tours and Groups
We offer public guided tours in German on Saturdays at 3:00 PM and Sundays at 11:00 AM. Additionally, we offer tours in many other languages. You can find all current dates in the calendar on our website. If you have any questions, feel free to contact our information desk:

We offer tours in German and English. Additionally, there are tours available in other languages spoken by our communicators. The exhibition texts are written in German and English. Additionally, through the Forum Wissen App, the texts are also available in Easy Language and German Sign Language.
Groups are welcome to visit the exhibition rooms at the Forum Wissen without a guided tour. Please notify the information desk at least 14 days in advance if your group is 10 or more people. This allows us to prepare for your visit.

Service and Offers
The Forum Wissen is located right next to the train station in Göttingen, making it easily accessible by train. The bus station next to the train station also allows for convenient arrival by bus.
The Forum Wissen App is available as a free download on the Google Play Store and the App Store.
In the museum, you can use the NFC function of your device to listen to audio tracks, watch videos, and digital objects.
The “collected” objects can then be further explored at the media tables located in the exhibition rooms.

The Forum Wissen has a shop offering a selection of games, gifts, and books tailored to our exhibitions. Items can be purchased at our information desk. The museum shop is open Tuesday to Sunday from 11 AM to 5 PM.
On the ground floor of Forum Wissen, you will find Café Liesls X Forum. Here, you can enjoy a selection of pastries and snacks as well as hot and cold beverages. If you would like to host an event at the café, please send an email to forum@liesels.de or call +49-551–3935347.
